Mobile Camping by Thema extends our approach to hospitality beyond fixed locations. It allows us to create thoughtful, low-impact camping experiences in quieter parts of Sri Lanka, where nature, culture, and daily life remain closely connected. The concept is designed for guests who want to slow down, spend time outdoors, and experience the island in a more flexible and personal way.
The People Behind the Experience
Every mobile camp is supported by resident naturalists who guide guests through the landscape and help them understand wildlife, ecosystems, and local environments. Their role is not only to lead activities, but to share context, observations, and knowledge gathered over years of working in these regions.
Meals are prepared on site by our experienced chefs, who cook with fresh ingredients and adapt menus to the setting and pace of the day. Food is treated as part of the experience, not a separate service.
